Ik heb echter weinig hoop, want tegen de tijd dat ik kinderopvang heb geregeld gaan we alweer bijna naar NL en ze zitten vast niet te wachten op iemand die pas in oktober kan beginnen.... Maar in ieder geval is het een goede oefening en kan ik deze ervaring hopelijk later het jaar alsnog gebruiken.
Wat weer eens apart is, is dat je iemand mee mag nemen naar het gesprek ter ondersteuning! Onderstaande tekst heb ik geknipt uit de begeleidende brief:
GUIDELINES FOR SUPPORTERS/WHÃNAU KAITAUTOKO WHO WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE AT INTERVIEW

- You are welcome to bring to your interview, supporters/whãnau kaitautoko to support your application. To ensure the facilities are suitable to accommodate additional people at the interview, could you please advise the Recruitment Centre of the number of supporters/whãnau kaitautoko that will or may be accompanying you to interview.
- The role of supporters/whãnau kaitautoko is to:
- Provide moral support
- Support the applicant should mihimihi (salutations) take place.
- Provide verbal attestations/stories that may bring out the strengths/suitability
of the applicant for the job. - Discuss the support/advice that supporters/whãnau kaitautoko can provide the applicant in the new role/position.
- To speak on behalf of the applicant where it is appropriate.
- At the beginning of the interview, supporters/whãnau kaitautoko will introduce themselves, who they are, their relationship to the applicant and why they have come.
- The interview panel will be taking notes during the interview. Please feel free to take your own notes as required.
- Whãnau kaitautoko will be given the opportunity to speak during the interview by the convenor of the interview panel or manager.
